I know I have family near me and in some other states and I think I still have family in Germany.
I just remember my dad telling me I had an uncle in Germany that was really tall 8u

I was actually asking my mom if we had any photos of dead family members.
I've seen a lot from my mom's side, but not my dad's side.
I think I've only seen one photo of my grandpa and one photo of my dad as a kid.

I learned that my great great grandma on my dad's side was full blooded Native American and she had Resting Bitch Face and I really want to see a photo of her.
Resting Bitch Face is just a family trait at this point 8u
My great grandma, my grandpa, my cousin, me and probably many others u8
My grandpa seemed like a cool person. He had his own band and could play guitar and my dad said he was the kindest person, but was always afraid of people not liking him.
I only saw that one photo and I can't remember his face at all.

My mom is friends with a family member on Facebook that I don't know how we're related...
Anyways, he was in a video and had a vending machine in his house and was like "You got one of these in your house 8D?" and he reminded me so much of my grandpa.
They were really close to.
It made me smile, but also made me sad.
I did not recognize his face either xD

Families are weird, hey? I guess after a certain point everyone just assumes the kids know who everyone is, even though they probably introduced everyone when you were like one year old and can't remember it at all. I'm always getting approached by people at family events, like weddings or funerals, who are like "Oh you've grown so much since I last saw you!"
"When did you last see me?"
"About 25 years ago"

We met some people at my grandad's funeral in 2018 who I swear I have never seen in my life and then my mum insisted they have to come to my wedding because they showed up, I have no idea who they are. I think they're related somehow but that's all I got.

My mom is good at remembering faces. I've never met anyone else like her.
We go places and she's like "....I know that person from somewhere..."
She was this woman at the mall and said that and eventually she remembered who it was, eventhough she hadn't seen her in over 10 years and she was just someone from my mom's old job xD

She can also see a photo of a celebrity when they were a baby and know who they are.
I still don't know how she can do that xD

With me, it's weird. I really don't remember faces too good. But I'll see someone in a movie or tv show and think "I've seen them before..." but it'll be something really insignificant xD
There was an actor I recognized in a tv show and I couldn't remember where I knew him from.
I looked him up and he was in a music video for like a minute that I watched years ago.
But I remembered his face.

@jacob: My grandma can just blab away about some distant family and I'll be like, "who the hell are you talking about?" and she's like "you know, that person!" Can you give me some family realtion here to help me out, because I don't fucking know all the names of all the people from YOUR distant family of grandpa's family. Like, calm down, I can't read minds.

@River, Moi: Funny, I don't really remember faces that well, but names come more easily to me. And numbers are my forte xD Although not birthdays and namedays, it's some wierd shit to me.

I really suck at remembering the date for mum's birthday whenever it gets close to it. I know it's the 20th December but still I blank around that time of year. And last year I totally forgot to wish her a happy birthday till after.

I am usually really good with faces, awful with names. I end up referring to people by descriptions until their name sticks (only in my head haha). And even then when I know their name for sure, I can forget easily. I'll be talking to J saying something like "You know, that guy. with the paint. and he sometimes walks." and he'll have to figure out I'm talking about someone we know who paints and went for a walk with us once XD

Birthdays I can do but I have a weird anxiety about J's birthday. it's the 3rd of October and I KNOW it's the 3rd of october but any time I have to write it down or tell someone else I get all panicked and wonder if it's maybe the 2nd or 1st or even the 4th. Even though my first instinct is the right one.

My memory is pretty shitty now. I can only remember stuff if I'm really focused. of course people try to use this against me all the time.
me: "you said this thing last week"
them: "no I didn't, you must be remembering it wrong"
-___- asshole, I forget things sometimes, I don't just make stuff up. I lose memories, I don't invent them. If I'm remembering it, it happened. It's when people tell me something happened but I don't remember that I have to take their word for it.

I don't know if it's because I'm an artist and my brain is wired that way, but I remember images the most. Just not faces >Bu
Like we were coming home in the dark and my aunt didn't know where we were, but I knew exactly where we were because my grandpa always drove me around on weekends.
I hadn't been in that area for years, but I remembered it.
You can drop me off across town and I can make my way back because I know what it looks like.

Random, but one of the best things I've ever heard was when this woman was attacked and she was able to draw the attacker for the police because she was an artist and they got him u8

I can remember some birthdays. Like my parents' and my sisters.
Anyone else, I can't usually. I'll remember the month, but not the day.

My uncle told me once that he talked to someone that asked him something about his memory and my uncle said he can't remember some things.
The person told him he must not care enough to remember.
And my uncle said that wasn't true.
We just can't remember certain things.
