I'm weird with compliments, sometimes I take it, thank the person and it's okay then other times (most times, lol) I feel obligated to return the "favor" and desperately look for something to compliment them on and my brain blanks. Or when someone says something like "hey, I like your shirt" I'll answer something stupid like "oh yeah, I like it too" and then mentally slap myself because it's obvious I like it, I'm wearing it... :mcsweat:

I'm pretty good at reading people, at least I think so. I'm not sure if people read me, I might be sending the wrong signals. :mcheh: I'm pretty closed off and keep to myself so that alone makes people stay away as I'm "the weird loner" or something.

I'm the same with donating! I sometimes donate for some animal shelters etc. and I always check the box to hide my name because why the hell would I want it anywhere? XD But I realize most people like the recognition, for people who have patreon it's important to at least say thank you by listing the patrons' names I guess. That and some threshold prizes? Idk XD

I mentally slap myself a lot 8u
I once stood and held a door open for someone for about 3 minutes who wasn't even going out.
I felt like such a huge idiot.

I like to listen about body language and what it means when people do things.
One is always that arms cross and hands on hips equals aggression or irritation.
I do those all the time. I just don't know what else to do with my arms xD
But I guess I could subconsciously be thinking it will tell people to avoid me, or "scare" them away from talking to me.
Because if my face looks angry and I have angry body language, it's a good indication to avoid me xD

I don't think it's wrong to want credit or be thanked for donating money and things.
Like yeah, you're supposed to do things and not expect anything back, but I don't think it's wrong to want to at least get a thanks.
But I definitely don't want the attention. The person I donate to can thank me and that in itself will freak me out 8u

I'm the type of person that will see someone walking in the heat and want to give them a cold bottle of water.
But I also want to disappear immediately after giving it to them.

Haha, I do hands on hips too, not because of annoyance but because it's easier to stand if I'm supporting myself in some way XD My back gets tired. Even that little bit helps.

I've heard crossing arms is more like closing yourself or distancing yourself from the interaction, like you're defending yourself.
And rubbing one's earlobes is being shy and insecure (haha, me, I even did it today at doctor's office :qoops: )
Same goes for legs spread or crossed etc.
Have you guys ever heard that if somebody rubs their nose while talking it allegedly means they're lying? I've heard that a lot in the past and now I'm panicking every time I get an itchy nose and talking to someone, I'm always afraid they know that superstition and will think I'm lying to them :mcargh:

I wonder what it means when I cross my legs while standing straight XD

I've heard that about lying. Also blinking a lot could indicate lying. Or like if someone is talking and they keep looking a certain direction it means they're using one side of the brain.
Like how if you look left, it means you're using the right half of your brain which deals with creativity so you're coming up with lies.
Also if someone says no, but nods their head - they're lying.
As I've said, I love listening to true crime stuff, so that's how I learn about that kind of stuff.

However, people also do things when they're anxious.
Like how I avoid eye contact because I have anxiety and people make me anxious.
I'm not lying, but I'm uncomfortable.
I do a lot of things that are "suspicious" but it's caused by anxiety xD

Apparently anything crossed is defensive 8u

I struggle to make eye contact.

And yeah sometimes I just focus on something on the person's face which sadly tends to be something like...crooked teeth or something like that... but at least I'm look at their face.

crossing arms is comfy but yeah I try not to. =/

My therapist got me to make eye contact. Unfortunately, I wouldn't break eye contact and people say it's creepy or means I'm attracted to someone.
So I try to make eye contact, but look away a lot.
I also tend to focus on things like my mom's gray hair or a scar on someone's face.
And they notice that too.

Crossing your arms means you're guarding your organs and crossing your legs means you're guarding your privates.
Or you know it's just more comfortable 8u

I'm a naturally fidgety person so i cross my arms a lot to stop from fidgeting so much. I also always have a straight face so people think I'm angry or upset. I'm always like "No, that's just my face."
