I think I liked that the true love that saved Anna was her sister's love. Usually true love is used to refer only to the romantic kind. People overlook other forms of love.
Usually the prince saves the princess and this was different. I wouldn't say these are the reasons why I like it- I don't know why I like it either  but these are points I appreciated in it.

I'm not sure how I feel about Maleficent. I'm more into the animated shows. :\ And if doesn't feel like Disney, more like just Disney redoing everything.
