Good thing Korean food has a lot to do with thanksgiving then :'D
I usually don't either, but we have like a university cinema where they show different movies for 2€ every thursday, and the internet was down for like 4 hours yesterday so we spontaneously decided to go there. It has pretty good ratings for some reason I can't quite understand, but it was so boring and confusing. ._.

Wait..you guys have to pay to see movies at your uni? My uni shows different movies everyday for free..and sometimes they are new movies that haven't been released in theaters yet :D
However, there are some cases where you do have to pay to watch the movie if it is a huge deal or something, but we all take a field trip to go see the said movie and buy tickets in advance.

I pay 300€ per semester, and most of that money goes into my train ticket. Other things are free entry to the theatre here, reduced prices in so so many shops and parks... and other things I don't even know about. Also, like, once a while we get a free goodie bag. XD
The movies are organised by the students, because obviously, that's not something the uni needs to provide for a learning environment :'D But it was still only 2€.

Yeah haha. Ours is organized by professors and students, and since we have a film department (which I'm in) they feel it is a necessary part for both education and entertainment

What I really would like my uni to do is join microsoft's student office program. Because I don't own microsoft word and itwould be so useful. 
the geography students do the movies here XD Idk even the film department doesn't really care about it.
