@Mikael; Woooah licensed even better! Add it to my massively growing list of manga and light novels to buy, lol. I'll definitely give it a read though, I could use the laughs. And I found that volume plus the figure on amazon jp.. I'm tempted. Very tempted. 8u
Oooh really? I think you just gave me the final push to watch it. 8u How were the official subs? I saw the DVD for sale for really cheap and wanted to try it out.
Ace is alright, I suppose my only problem with it is I don't particularly LOVE anybody.. y'know? Like I don't really have a character I've latched onto. Well I like Harucchi, but he hardly gets any page/screentime. ;c It's pretty decent though! And Yowapeda is Yowamushi Pedal, it's about cycling. :>
That's good. Sports series seem pretty solid in general. x) And there's like never any fanservice which is a HUUUGE plus lmao. MMakes it safe to read at work.
@Errisa; LOL. I do that sometimes. I'm at home alone and too lazy to cook so I just don't eat.
8D;;;;
On the topic of shoujo manga.. never been too much into it. I have a few I like, such as Natsume. But usually they're not my thing. XD I've found that most of the ones I enjoy have a male protagonist.
As for otome, I'm not really into them for the dating part. XDD I need a good story. I actually hate when the protagonist is supposed to be a self-insert, because I'm not into that. And that's just super awkward. I like it better when the protagonist has a personality, a name, and a face! I really loved Sweet Fuse for this reason. That protagonist kicked ass. 8u Literally.
But anyway, the otome games I've played don't involve the protagonist changing themselves to suit their love interest. I have seen a few like that, but found them boring or bleh for that reason lol. The ones I prefer, the protagonist already has their own qualities, and that is what makes the other characters drawn to her. I guess I should say I live VN otome games, and not dating sim ones..? Idk.
I do enjoy some fluffy stories (like Horimiya), but a main pull for me is always character development. If there's a romance but none of the characters ever change or grow, I'll probably get bored. So I like stories about groups of people, or even pairs, about how they grow together or such. XD Of course I like good plots too, but I always gotta have a character to be attached to or the series becomes more forgettable to me.
I'm trying to buy any decent VNs that come out in English, though. I want the industry to grow here so I can get more! ovo
