@Nari: When your knuffel becomes level 100, you will have the chance to choose among the stages and pick the one you like best. Once you've made the choice, it becomes the knuffel's permanent form; you can't change it after that. What Tilla said.


It took me a year (with me feeding them almost every day...except for some awol days) for me to get my knuffels to around level 90. I bet if I was consistent, they'd be level 100 by now. XD;


@Lunar: Actually, many people do care about who uses their art and people who put a lot of time and effort into designing their OCs tend to get a little upset about people just going around saying that that OC is their own (even if it's only in terms of appearance). If the images were used with permission, that's one thing, but that rarely is the case.

To think that we need to mar our own works with watermarks in order to protect them is pretty sad.

My watermaking is basically my signature...
or actually it's a logo that I designed for myself.

All of my art, whether it's on an image hosting site like photobucket, or on an art site like DA is not to be used without permission unless I specify otherwise.
My own accounts on said hosting sites are private anyways...AKA they are closed to the public, and the only way to get to my pictures is if I give you permission to use the URL for it.
It's probably why I haven't seen my art anywhere other than where I put it.

Though I did see one of my pictures being used once. I asked the person to remove it. When they got pissy with me, I had it removed. I don't mind people using my stuff, so long as they let me know that they are using it, or credit me.

@Nari: Yeah, I'm uploading all my gift art and commissions I've bought. There's actually a lot. XD;

*nods* I generally just use my signature; no watermark. Even if I watermark the art, someone might just steal the concept anyways. *headfloor*

I don't think I'll ever give people permission to use my art unless it's something I've drawn for them (like art of their OC). I generally make art on my Photobucket password protected.

Someone once asked me if they could post or link to some fan art I did before though. That was, of course, a different matter. >>b

It's usually in white, and partially transparent on a piece of the picture that has enough detail to make it noticeable if someone tries to take it off.
I've even had it used as tattoos on characters before.
Nartina has this tattooed on her shoulder blade.
A couple of my other characters use it as jewelry.
One time I turned it into a constellation in the stars.
I'm always looking for new ways to use it in the picture.
I even have it written that no one is to use or alter this either.

Yeah...if they ask me my permission, then I have no problem with it.
It's when they try and use it without asking me, or at least crediting me if they didn't ask that I have problems.

Aha, that tattoo reminds me of Inu Yasha for some reason. I guess seeing the crescent and beads are bringing back some old memories.

It's not a tattoo...
that's the image I use for my watermark...
basically my logo, though I do want it to be tattooed on me at some point.

It has special meaning to me personally.
Every detail in that logo has a special meaning.

The arrow is both my love for archery and a monument to my Native American ancestry.
The Waning crescent is my personal symbol.
The fact that the arrow is going through the moon is from my favorite saying: "Shoot for the moon; even if you don't succeed, you'll still be amongst the stars."
The prayer beads has to do with my own personal style of art and what inspired it.
The dragon is my family guardian.

It took a while to come up with, despite it looking like it only took several moments.
I created it a couple of years ago, and have been using it ever since.
