Yeah, I have trouble with them too. Pretty sure it's because they aren't getting enough light.

Yay, plant killers together :'D

I am so annoyed all the time because I always buy these pretty plants and then just kill them, even though every time I'm like "THIS ONE will be okay, I'll try super hard!"

LOL :mcsquee:

My hydroponic plants are doing way better than my potted or air plants. I forgot what the actual name of them are, but a friend gave me some clippings and since I had ran out of pots, I stuck them in jars and thus they have remained. I actually need to put some water in the jars soon...

Thank you! Computer Science :)

I think that's actually what my bf got himself just like two weeks ago or so as well :) (The dracaena)
That sounds promising if you've had good experiences with keeping them alive :)

I'll hopefully get a St. Bernard's lily (boy, there's a lot of names for them in english, according to wikipedia... But I absolutely refuse to use the most common one. I like the German one much better, we just call them Grünlilie = green lily) on easter, when my mom visits me. She's supposed to bring me a plantlet of my old one, which is still living at her house. I hope I'll manage to keep it alive on my desk, I'd like a bit of green here. Might be too little light, though...

Talking about plants, I have managed to keep a bougainvillea alive on my terrace for nearly a year but my morning glory is dead. I don't know anyone who managed to kill a morning glory.

My one and only succulent is doing well though.

My parents have a really impressive cactus which is older than I am. It's hitting their ceiling now though, from standing on the floor, so they don't really have any idea what to do with it. I suggested cutting it in half because apparently you can do that, replant the top bit, and it will live on. But I'm not brave enough to help in case it dies :D

Oh wow, that sounds impressive indeed!
I had no idea you could cut a cactus like that :o
I definitely get being worried that it won't work...

Considering the environment they live in they must be able to survive in pretty much every situation so I'm not that surprised.
