I might've done law because I'm good with analyzing language but I don't like the idea of being told that gays must go to jail and me just having to accept it. And what if I have to defend someone who's guilty :mcheh: Of course I mightn't be a criminal lawyer but even then, other people make laws and I just have to swallow them, and so I don't fancy it.
I want to do liberal arts, which is bad for me because that leaves me with next to none options in India :mcsad:
To tell the truth I don't worry about being employable as much as most people. I'm just going to do what feels right to me.

I would be fine at science if only science in high school wasn't thought the way it is. Like I looked at my Dad's university physics textbook and absolutely everything in it is touched upon in high school but nothing is gone into deep enough to facilitate understanding :mcmeh: that's the problem with having to narrow down to subjects in high school itself (I don't think you had to?) I have physics, chemistry and biology. Kira has math, physics and chemistry. Less subjects, more syllabus packed into each subject. Don't even get me started on our sucky educational system :mcsweat:

Problem with engineering is it's so specialized :mcshock: doesn't have much room to breathe!

That's harder, to my mind. That's an ongoing, you have to live with it forever thing, instead of one single moment that's the exception instead of the rule.

Ah I see ;v;
I actually hear that most lawyers end up paperwork lawyers though.. I don't know if that's considered rewarding ;v;

Anyway, I completely understand you about the curriculum orz
Here in the States, we also do the same but we also have this huge emphasis
on testing and testing and testing...
and we also heavily track kids so if we don't do well, we may be put into lower classes that end up screwing over the rest of our academic career ;v;

I'm also fortunate enough to live in a state that has pretty good schools, but I
know in other areas of the States, the schools are abysmal.
It's kind of funny to see since education is supposed to be available for all
but the quality of it is so.. you know ;v;

Abysmal is relative :qt: the state of our public ('government') schools is so sucky you can't imagine. They don't have toilets or drinking water. That's how bad they are :mcangry:

Oh yeah, tell me about tests. Only I think it's worse here not only bc the grass is greener on the other side but bc when you apply to college you have other stuff with it like your app essays and SAT and other stuff you've done. Here, the exams you write at the end of 12th grade determine your whole school percentage and you apply to colleges with just your percentage. (Some of the top schools like the colleges of Delhi Uni actually have a cutoff of 100%. Others have super difficult entrance tests :mcgloom:)

I go to an okay school but that's not helping my grades this year :mcsad: of course my finals might go good but they're definitely wringing us out to get us in shape for those.

It's not over yet.
There's a lot to look forward to.
Keep going.

The situation changes depending on your age, I guess.
