But either way, I don't really like this idea because you'd get about 5 shop points per post, and if I wanted to buy a 1200FP frame or something, I'd have to make 240 posts before I could use my points on something I wanted!
yes, that's exactly what i meant.
the math is a bit different here though. 1200FP item would take you 240 posts normally to save for it (assuming 5 fp per post). with a double fp you get an average of 10 fp (from the previous assumption), so it's "only" 120 posts.
i meant for the 5 fp to add normally to the food balance, and the doubled 5 fp to be a temporary bonus that can be spent only in existing Shops (except Knufftropolis i guess). let's say an item costs 1000 fp and i have 600 normal fp and 500 "temporary" fp (total 1100 fp). with those i could buy an item costing 1000 fp. the "temporary" fp would be used first, and i'd be left with 100 normal fp.
i have no idea how to implement such a thing, or if it's even possible. it might be a way to handle inflation such events create (if this event proves to be popular that is).
anyway, i understand the lack of time, so this is just a thought to consider for some time in the future. i do hope this event appears again, as i have no possibility to participate in it now
