Such a funny topic ehich i never get to talk about.... about..... 9,5 years ago i joined gaia andleft neopets. Why? Because on gaia you didn't need real money to get the realmoney items. You just had to work very hard for your gold (lots of fishing!) But myeah... ever since the site changed the whole page-design into 'new gaia' it lost its shine and got flooded with advertisements and to many random people. I just hid myself in th mini shops forum making avatar edits and animations and got to know a few regulars there. And everybody had either a knuffel or a gothic lolita doll...Thats when i got Aquarose on the front page

There only one thing in gaia that keeps me coming back, and that is this tiny dutch guild which i've been in since the beginning. I'm the co-captain and we have several meets on conventions and such, even tough we only have 3 or 4 active people

Yup, we have ranks. In entrance exams it's objective so if you get one question wrong, since it's competitive it sets you back thousands of ranks. The Chartered Accountancy entrance has a pass rate of 4% of all who write it annually
Even the colleges which take your marks in school have a cutoff as high as a 98% in your board exams. In your 12th grade finals each subject will be out of 100 marks and your average if your percentage.
It's just too competitive especially as we're the second most populated country in the world :(
Well that's kind of why I fell out of Syndrone, there's literally nothing to do except chat and customise there (there's the gambling but mehh) but KofK has loads of stuff to do. The knuffles are quite a handful, and then there are the quests and events
