Internships should also be paid. I'm getting my educator license, and when it comes time to teach for a year, they're going to pay me to do that. I'm not sure how much, but it beats nothing at all.

I'm a professional illustrator, and I have heard the exposure arguement from all sorts of people. The most recent was a retired professor that wanted me to do abstract work for a book of poetry and he told me straight up that he wasn't getting paid and neither was I and I didn't mind that for a moment. Then I got to thinking about it, and I started to mind it more and more lol.

Well, he's 60+ years old and he taught writing in college for some time. He promised me three copies. I just have projects I want to finish because I know I'll at least make some money from them. :/
