Thanks! I’m trying to make adjustments to the way I interact with technology to see if i’ll find my increasing hand limitations more tolerable. The web in general isn’t designed well for people like me.
I’m on click critters now, whose light click exchange works pretty well with switch adaptive clicking. So hopefully if I do lose my good hand/arm, I’ll have something to keep me entertained.
...just waiting on my switch device. It might be a little different from the iPad.
She looks comfortable. C: kitty naps. <3

Uhhh...my brain doesn't want to settle down. I keep thinking of things I want to do.

I just realized that "take out" means food, dating, and murder. And if you were a female praying mantis you'd have all three.

Hi DC! Is your brain an overactive puppy right now?
Popo; fairly sophisticated eye tracking software exists. That and the switch device (it’s a button, usually, not Nintendo) are some ways people with mobility issues access technology! I tried the eye gaze software, but it doesn’t work for me because my eyes are jittery.
So switch scanning on the iPad works like this:
For apps integrated with item-based scanning, rows of icons/menus are highlighted for a set amount of time each. Pressing the screen/button either selects it or goes one level deeper.
The keyboard, for example, gets cycled highlights of a row of keys at a time. Pressing a selection narrows it to a group of keys, like “qwer”, then “q”, “w”, “e”, “r”. after the final selection, the cycle starts from the beginning.
I think websites use this, but a lot are really annoying with it. Too much noise.
It takes forever.
For most apps, a thing called point selection is used. That’s like a line moving from north->south, then east->west. Each direction needs to be hit, and where the lines intersect is tapped.
Most games, unfortunately, have too much movement.
tl;dr: the world is not designed for this kind of problem.
Does her name have a meaning?

You and your transformers, haha. <333
Yeah, I’m actually getting a surface pro with two switch buttons and special software from one such company. It’s expensive, but insurance luckily covers it.
The two buttons are added complication in the hopes of increased speed.
Stephen Hawking used a switch with his cheek.
Ugh, my mom has been bogged down in endless calls for me and it’s always money: someone doesn’t want to pay, someone wants more, etc.

Health care in the United States is very complicated now. I studied the theory behind insurance pricing in college, and theoretically, it works best when everyone buys insurance.
At the same time, health care costs need to be controlled. The ACA removed lifetime caps, but if everyone cost insurers $2+mil, and only paid in a fraction of that, where does the money come from?
A thing that concerns me is health care spending at end of life. I’m not saying people should give up and die, but costs tend to balloon after a certain point. Not all treatments are effective or beneficial or contribute to quality of life. And, with our aging population, we need to deal with this issue.
To me, it feels like medicine has both prolonged lives in general and heightened our fear of death. I come across a lot of discussion on “anti aging” whatever.
The surface pro with two buttons is what I’m getting. C: the paperwork justification is done, we’re waiting on final approval and setup I think. My insurance gave us two options, and this was one.

I assume it'd come from taxes.
But I'm australian and our medicare is payed by taxes. For some reason it's under threat again by the government and private health.
All the more reason countries should look at euthanasia. I mean it'd need strict rules and stuff but yeah.
I know on insert coin clothing's fb page they've showcased how they (I think they did support this and pay for but I'm not sure really, I just read the posts) helped disabled gamers be able to still play their consoles and stuff.

Wait, how does Australian healthcare work? I read a little about it, I think, and I was interested.
I find anyone who thinks absolutely everything should be covered for absolutely anyone a tad unrealistic. Nursing homes charge upwards of $150/day per shared room and are kind of strained.
Ugh, even if Texas had death with dignity laws, I wouldn’t qualify. I might get by the 6 months or less requirement, but I can’t swallow, write, or speak.
