@Nari: I draw my own OCs in my own style, using my own creativity. I feel like I know who they are, and not other writer can write about them quite as accurately as I do. As far as I know (in terms of gift fics) no one ever has, but I do appreciate the gifts regardless. XD
Also, my fox originally started out very fox-like, but my animal chibi style evolved. O__o
@Nuke Yeah, role-players really shouldn't use other people's arts in RPs, especially if they are art of other people's OCs (anime art, I don't care about as much, since that's already based off of something, I guess. *headfloor*)
If stealing people's writing is plagiarism, then stealing people's art is art theft; regardless of whether or not the RPer claims to have drawn it, they're still using art that isn't their own or meant for them.
I would be mad if someone used one of the pictures that Kityu drew for me in an RP. So seriously angry. D<
If an RP dies on me, I just reuse my characters. XD I tend to adjust my characters to the story, rather than make up new OCs on the spot. I know people have different ways of going about it; there's no right or wrong way, but as I'm a detail-oriented person, I put a lot of thought into making my character. If I knew their past, their present, their habits, all the interesting good and not-so-good stuff about them, I'm not able to let them go easily. I can always come up with new and interesting plots to RP with them, but every new character I make won't be quite the same as the ones I already have. My RP characters aren't replaceable to me.
@Tilla: Going good. I was supposed to design an outfit for my OC, but I ended up cleaning my desk. XD;
