Well actually, I believe I've already said that but if not I'll say it now, I'm still in my experimenting phase. :p
I'm still finding out which materials to use, how to use them, what to make etc. At the moment I can make earrings easily, I still need to find matching feathers to make them more spectacular than just one feather. I've used the same technique to make this hairpin. :)
The work itself is done pretty quickly, but gathering the materials and stuff is taking some time, but as soon as I know what I need that should be no trouble. Once I'm settled and ready for orders I hope I can ship the order the next day, to give you an indication of the time needed. :)
But that's for these simple pieces. I don't know how the more intricate ones like the diadem are gonna take, but usually, as soon as I know what I'm doing, I'm pretty quick and I don't have the patience to work on something for days anyway. As long as they won't be custom orders and I have to get special material for it, it shouldn't take long. ;D
As for how to sell them, when I'm ready I'll open a shop on Etsy. Do you know that site? It's a sort of eBay, but only handmade stuff is sold there. ^_^
And I'll probably create my own site, even though I hate webdesign. :')
Other than that I'm rather familiar with the fantasy fairs and festivals here, so if I'm doing well enough online, I'll try and hire a stand on one of those.
If you've got any ideas that I could practice on though, feel free. ^_^
Oh, Shaw doesn't attack Sully, no way! He's a canary in a cage, there's nothing he can do - and wants to do. He prefers cowering on the other side of the cage of course, but that isn't always enough >>
I'm afraid Sully will really hurt him one day, or maybe even scare him to death. So I don't think it's funny really. :')

Well the cheapest ones already work, and it can be really cheap, right? And you only use a minor bit of it...
No, I think the reason behind it is indeed money, but not to safe more. I think that the sooner something breaks down, the sooner you buy a new one of course. >>
I hate that mentality, so I really try to make my stuff as strong as possible, but that might take a few years to develop I'm afraid. ^_^;;
But still I'll do what I can, and won't send a feather out without hairspray, and if I'm ever gonna use gems I'll cover it with polish. ;D
Oh and by the way! A service I'd also like to offer is for people to send me their own feathers. For example, I myself can't wait for Sully to have his first molt - I'd love to have a hairpiece of his very own feathers. :D
Although he'll probably eat them off my head. It's the idea that counts.
And as soon as I trust my skills well enough, I'm gonna use those two tail feathers Sully stole from Shaw to make myself a pair of really simple, but pretty earrings.
I can imagine people owning a macaw, or falcon, or parakeet or whatever to want that too. And they'll be 100% sure that the feathers are fair. :D
