Buy cookies? These were store-bought; I actually have a story about them. Last Sunday, my aunt wanted to bake cookies at her house, but it was so hot that when my uncle found out, he handed her a red envelope with money for her to go out and buy it instead. It was funny because he's black... I don't even know how he got a red envelope. XD

It's an Asian thing (namely Chinese) --adults always put money in red envelopes as gifts to people (like for Christmas or Chinese New Year or on birthdays).

Yeah, I think it's mainly Chinese. I know Koreans don't put money in red envelopes.

Yeah, it's not an American thing, but each culture has something unique to it that sets it off anyways. For some reason, guns and hamburgers seem to be what people associate with America. XD
