Haha!! You might teach english in other countries too? Yay!! I love meeting people that have!! :) It makes me feel less of any oddity...Which I don't mind being different but when you are surrounded by close minded people its nice to meet those who aren't or have experienced it themselves... :mccute:

For me I don't hate english...I actually love it, its my favorite subject, but I hate that once you get to the higher or high school classes, any enjoyment you get from it is spoiled by writing an essay paper that basically tears the entire book apart...Enjoyment from reading is interpreting a book in your own way, and if that is analyzing the life out of it, so be it, but I don't think most people are that way...
Thats why I am going to teach kindergarten, elementary, maybe middle school. Its the good old easy english, grammar, plural type stuff, and for kindergarten, just learning words...I can do that. But I don't think I could force high school students to analyze a book that isn't even in their first language...I would feel horrible...
I like to watch the enjoyment on their faces as they feel the accomplishment of just LEARNING it...you know...?

Did I just rant something really strange...? Sorry... :mcheh:

Don't worry...you will get old eventually, then you will be begging to be young again...Enjoy it, every moment of high school. There is a lot I missed out on and I regret it now.

I might, since I find traveling (just like you, ahah!~) really fun. Plus, it helps me gain more experience talking with others and it's going to get me out of the house. I spend way more time needed inside doing nothing productive. I don't think it makes you an oddity though, since there are so many of my mother's friends in this career, haha!~

Hmm. I understand what you're saying. I like English too, but school reinforces the way they want English to be. I really like literature, and analysing books, but sometimes the way that the schools teaches it really throws off my style.

Although for me, I dislike kids younger than ten, ahah~ I don't know, but they irritate me a little. Maybe it's because I am also a kid.

To be honest, I actually don't want to get old. Staying a child makes things a lot easier... but then again, I would miss out on so many fun things.

Hello! :)

@Shadow
Really?! There is a lot more people than I thought that do this...!

Haha i'm the opposite...I like younger kids because they are less disrespectful and the younger grades actually enjoy school you know? Although I have heard that the kids in european and especially asian schools are a lot more respectful than here in america...

It is easier...turning 18 threw me for a loop...suddenly I'm responsible for everything...

Hey!~ You're back again! How's life?

@Meg
I guess it's because society emphasizes on jobs like being a layer, or a doctor. I actually don't like any of those professions they like to showcase, haha!~

I like older kids more, since they understand what is happening all around them, and it's relatively easier to teach them things if they had a good upbringing. But it's what I think... ahah~ Hmm. That really depends on where you are, since there are some schools with really rude people.

Maybe when I get older I'll understand more, haha.

Yeah it does depend on where you are...where I am there is little respect...I was one of the only ones who didn't do anything disrespectful...

Everyone has a different opinion anyway. Think about it. If everyone wanted to teach younger kids, the older ones would get half rate or little education. So in a way its good that my view and yours are different. If we worked in the same school, the students would be set!! lol :mcwink:

Do you have any idea of where you would want to go?

I'm glad to hear that then!~ It's always awesome to feel perky, ahah! As for me, I'm kind of glad school's almost over. Two more weeks, bleh. I think I can surivive 'til then.

@Meg
People who are really disrespectful really annoys me. It's one of my biggest pet peeves, haha!~ Being nice isn't really that hard... (I used too many reallys here. My descriptive writing skills definitely desearve an A+.)

Haha, maybe if fate does decide to put us in the same school together when we do start teaching, we'll see each other, haha! It will be quite a well rounded school... but make sure you keep the little ones away from me, unless they are really sweet, ahah~

Go? For teaching? Or just in general...? For teaching I'd say wherever I decide to go, since almost every country needs their people to learn English (or perhaps Chinese in the future, since that language is becoming so popular). Right now, I don't actually know, hehe...

Descriptive skills are an A+++ :mclaugh:

Haha if that actually happened that would be so epic!! I think I would be there 4 or 5 years ahead of you though so I'll teach you the ropes!! :mcwink:

I meant for teaching...sorry I didn't specify...thats okay if you don't know where yet. Visiting a country for vacation is one thing, but choosing a country to live in for at least the length of the year contract is another entirely...

Where do you want to visit in general then? :mcglee:

I wouldn't mind trying Chinese if it really did start to take over...I have heard from those who learned as second language that the hardest part is the intonation. If you can get that down supposedly, the rest is a lot easier than english. They said that unlike most languages that are hard to learn, Chinese doesn't have a verb change. The verb stays the same for past, present, and future tense.
