maro I hope you know that a freelancer journalist needs to work more than ones with a steady job cuz they can write an article for a magazine and be rejected and you gotta find another place for that article or start a complete new one, while you'Re writing 5 others to sustain yourself. You make it sounds like being a freelancer is a good thing.
Yeah, kabu's right. Magazines are usually bigger and need a lot more planning than a local newspaper.
You've gotta be aware that the study for journalism is about as much work as being a journalist, if not less.
And I'm not guessing this stuff, I was interested in journalism and asked the mum of my friend, who is a steady journalist, about it. She said she really hated having to look for a steady job and freelancing journalist is the worst job to have. She also said something along the lines of "if I knew it was this much work I wouldn't have done it".
But it also does get interesting sometimes. The lady my dad lives with is also a journalist, and she takes my little sister to some fun kids things and takes photos there and writes the article then. But she's usually up to like 2 she told me, bc she has a steady newspaper job and they gotta get their shit ready for the next day and she's a procrastinator. Also she offered to take me along to some things too, but eh.
well nan at least I can't annoy anyone with the httyd 2 songs, you know, it doesn't really have any. :D
