Omg, that's so scary. How do you prevent that from happening? Do you still burn if you stand near a sunny window?

This sun allergy is common isn't it? I wouldn't call mine an allergy. I get a raised rash on my face, sometimes it weeps and I go extremely tomato red whilst the rest of my body is normal. I can't deal with my sweat though so summer is particular bad for my eczema :\

Oh yeah, reflections are really bad, I can't go swimming. And I'm learning to drive (I know super late in life) and I'm going to have to invest in long gloves or jackets for my arms.

It's called photophobia, not sure how common it is *shrugs* It's a side effect of my eczema and the medicines they've given me over the years that have significantly thinned my skin to UV light. So... you might have what I have *clings gently* Yeah... sweating is a whole other story with me, I hate heat and light x.x

Aaand I have to go with hubby to the doc tomorrow because he has a work related knee injury and after TWO WEEKS they're referring him to a specialist x.x

Was it the cortisol creams or the immunosuppressants?
I've used cortisol creams for 15 years? I definitely have started to notice my skin thinning especially around my face. Also, I've become very translucent as in I can now see the veins running across my neck, shoulders and arms.

Maybe I should be cautious of my prescriptions. Having these reactions on a more potent level seems painful and a hassle ;-;

What do they give you to help/alleviate the problem?

Specialists are always a pain to get to especially the more prestigious doctors. Appointments can be backed up for months although they do have emergency slots usually.

Topical steroids was what got me, but yes. I'm pretty much see through now too XD It's kind of funny, kind of not. But I'd rather wear long sleeves and stockings with hats than have to deal with unmedicated skin and er visits (T^T had my share).
