But I do wonder. Wouldn't it be easyer and a bit better if the prices for the items were higher, but be able to gather the doughnuts all month long?

No, it's the urgency of it that makes us post. Think about it - you can still get other rewards like fairies, and not to mention fp, but activity still drops because people figure they can come back and get those things any time. Putting a deadline on things is one of the key concepts of marketing, it makes people buy now instead of later (in this case, "buying" meaning posting).

Yeah its the urgency. I just wish it lasted more than a few days. A week would be cool, but i can see it losing its urgency in that scenario too.

Real talk for a moment: Can we Go back to that month that Pokemon Go was released. Everyone was so happy and the only people down my throat were old men at work who complained about a cell phone app kids were playing. Can we have that? Please.
