Thank you very much. I asked hubby what background to use and he said the butterfly. I thought it was too much since my colors are the same in the background. I'll tell him what you said~~

How is everyone doing?

Our college had students showcase their art/performance art/sports elective demonstrations and it was very cool :mclove: I wasn't able to finish my woodwork project (a carving of an eagle's head) because I was sick. But someone made a catapult and they'd carved and painted Avengers on its legs, so that was really cool.

Also the Silambam people were amazing. It's like a mix of martial arts and dancing, and they did it with sticks, rope and fire. They began with sticks lit at one end, then both ends, then TWO sticks lit at both ends, then ropes dipped in diesel and lit at both ends (there was a separation between the end and the rest for both the sticks and the ropes though of a different material so that the fire didn't catch and spread).

In the darkness it looked like they were dancing with balls and streaks of fire, like magic. And aas sparks flew from the fire it looked beautiful, like firefly magic. It was amazing :qh:

Wow that sounds really cool. Scary for someone like me but cool nonetheless. Glad you had fun. That catapult would of been fun to see.

Yeah my friend is scared of fire, so she put me in front of her and hid behind me. It worked out well because I didn't mind and was only too happy to switch places, lol.

I'm scared of fire too when it comes to cooking, I can't even light a match, but I guess this was different... because there was plenty of distance between me and the performers, and I trusted they knew what they were doing or they wouldn't try it.

Very true. Distance is always a comfort thing but I have bad paranoia at times and my mind would be racing thinking it would hit me in some way ~_~ I hate my brain at times.

Ahh I can understand. I'm pretty paranoid about germs in that way. I didn't used to be but it's getting worse.

Ugh that's horrible. I can just imagine how things are for you. I had severe OCD in the past still do but it's much calmer now with hubby. I think the fact it's him and I trust him completely is why I'm more calm about things. Some things still freak me out but nothing like before where I would end up bawling my eyes out and hyperventilate over something others would find stupid. My cats got baths so much in the past because people would touch them, either knowing I had OCD to begin with or after I asked or told them not to touch them (since of course they obviously didn't care about someones sanity.)
