We have cox which is the better deal. Unlike Centurylink, it's dependable. And we pay about I dunno $50 or $100 or so a month. We also have cable, but it's their cheapest version so we only get the basic stations because an antanea doesn't work. Centurylink would be far more expensive and they outed their call system to another country. So you get someone who barely speaks English helping you. Or at least the last person I had I remember barely spoke English.

The most popular Internet and phone provider in France is partially governement owned. It's the most expensive because it owns all the wires and does the work but it's also the only one who actually can do something if something on that end breaks.
Because of that they can't be too expensive.

So true. What kills me is that America is supposed to prevent Monopoly, (not the game XD) and yet many business still monopolize. It's such bull. Oh well better not talk about it because it'll just get me pissed. --;

To be fair, there has been a scandal in France a few years back because phone providers agreed on prices. Which is forbidden as well.

Japan is awful on forbiding monopolies.
It has a few big companies and they branch out in absolutely everything, sometimes openly, sometimes not.
It's honestly crazy, unless you're knowledgeable in the matter or did your researches you wouldn't know.
