I am okay ... excited and nervous because I put in an offer on a house that I love. The seller's counter offered and we accepted ... so now we have to get an inspector in to make sure the house is actually structurally sound and all that stuff. Eeeeek. I am hoping it all works out and nothing screws it up. :mcheh:

Isn't it supposed to be house inspection before offer?
Or it can change depending on inspection results?
Or am I just watching too much HGTV?

LOL! Inspection after offer because why pay for an inspection in a house that you might not even get? It's like $500 for an inspection... we have it in our contract if the inspection is bad and we don't like results, they have to pay for the inspection and the deal is off. :mccute: :mccute:

Renting might be easier, but I'm sick of paying my landlord's mortgage for him. And all my previous landlords rent. I've been renting since I was 18 years old and I am 31 now.

I want to buy so that one day, when I have a child and a business in my home I won't have someone knocking on my door saying "Sorry, you have to leave in 30 days for whatever reason because I own the place and you don't." and being stuck looking for a new place to live. So while renting might be "easier" owning holds a more secure and better future. For me, anyway. :mccute:
