you're from England, right? England just sounds like such a cute place, somewhere I wouldn't mind living if it's anywhere similar to the picture I have of it in my head..

our post offices are usually like information centres (I think that's the same as a corner store?) and they sell a lot of stationery and small irrelevant items that you buy even though you know you don't need them.


I read the first 2 HP books as a child but.. I was a child, so that was too long ago to remember details

bored? I used to watch the movies every weekend when I was a kid.. what is it that doesn't appeal to you? Is it just the genre or .. idk, do you normally dislike similar types of stories (as in, like fantasy/adventure/magic sort of types)?

Wow. I simply LOVE HP and I am with Ghost on this one. I return to Hogwarts whenever I feel bored/sick/happy and mostly on rainy days :D

yeyeah I do kinda see where you're coming from though. Everything has flaws and I guess HP is just one of those things that so many people love so they don't even really take notice of it's flaws because all their focus is just on what they love about it.

I think the story is just so complex and it's cool how it matures as the characters do, at least that's how I feel about the movies, I can't judge the books... yet.. but I constantly hear they're very very good. Oh! And i'm excited for peeves! He was a fun character in the computer games.

I really don't understand why this isn't done more often.. Maybe people design a certain brand/appeal for a specific audience and are too scared to change that in case people don't like it so they just play it safe? i don't know but growing up with the characters is soso rewarding if it's done right..

you mentioned rereading the books though.. growing up with the characters might be rewarding while it's happening but then if you want to read the books again later on, the intented audience is inconsistent. That makes more sense now that I think about it. Something like Peppa Pig is still so successful because it's got that consistency.
