supposedly better than what we have atm but it's fibre optic to copper....to node or something like that. Originally going to be to the node with no copper..
but the government changed leadership and they changed the nbn plan...

So the government is changing the way that your internet is getting set up?
Is there only one internet provider there?
Over here all the internet service providers are switching over to fibre optics. It's a lot faster. Of course, there will always be some copper and nodes and stuff. Well, for the foreseeable future. It's too expensive to go fibre all the way to individual homes.

yes though I admit we need the change.
we have multiple internet providers in australia but where I live there's two to choose from. It makes sense to choose the one who well originally laid down most of the lines.
