I think I do have a crappy old sheet somewhere that is off white. I could do that.

Oh! if you can find a cheap white napkin or handkerchief, you could glue some on that and then wear it over your head like a cloud-version of Rosie the Riveter!

(I'm thinking about cheap white napkins because I just picked up a big bundle of them at a garage sale for 50 cents for the whole lot. They're stained and with frayed edges, but that's perfect. I am going to draw "treasure maps" on them and use old coffee grounds to put some more interesting stains on them, and then roll them up and tie them shut with bits of string and ribbons and they are going to be my Halloween Treats this year, since I was pretty much out of the usual "treasures" I give, and candy is FAR too expensive if you can't make it, which mostly they don't like you to give homemade candy, so...)

I need to search for the sheet.

My husband tea stained some paper for a letter in one of our DnD campaigns. He was super proud of it. My little nerd.

Oh! Yes! I could use tea as well as coffee, there's lots of camellia trees around here, the leaves are easy to get.

Well, I mean, it's not *my* yard, but if I grab a few leaves here and there from the public parkways, it'll be okay. I sneak the trees fertilizer sometimes, so it's all turnabout. :P I'll just pick some leaves, blend them up, spread it out to dry, and it'll be the cheap-o version of black tea. If I do it now, I can probably have everything done in time.

(I know it's not the typical-bred-for-tea variety of camellia, it's the showy-flowers-variety, but it'll still be fine for staining, and I've heard of people using it for tea, too. It's just not the same quality, but it still works.)
