Oh, man. How old were you? I would be freaked out.

Boyfriend worked construction for a while once. Once, he finished up on the roof and went to get down and found that everyone had left and taken the ladder with them. Thankfully, his voice was able to reach one of the stragglers and they got the ladder back for him.

WOW. Was she at least the passenger? The more I hear about your aunt, more of a psycho she sounds like. At least my parents yelled at me for things that I did do, like laughing too loud and talking too loud.

No, she was driving, but she assumed me and my sister were arguing because clearly I'm the same age as my sister.
Any time I scold my sister, I get told to stop bickering with her >___>
Like if she actually does something wrong and I tell her "Don't do that!" I get yelled at and told to stop having kid arguments with her.
And what makes it worse is if she does it to my aunt, my aunt is like "NO YOU AREN'T GOING TO DISRESPECT ME!"
Like it's fine for my sister to disrespect me.
My family will always see me as a toddler.
I could be the smartest person in the US and they'd still talk to me like I'm two years old.

That's really dangerous! Yeah, the more I read about your aunt, the more of a psychopath she seems.

But that's the same here. Regardless of whether I'm arguing with a child or telling a child not to do something I'll get told that I'm the older one so I should gracefully give in and leave the scolding to the adults. But if they do it to them, then it's like, how dare you use that sort of language to an adult?

My parents are the complete opposite.
My mom is paranoid and overprotective and my dad is wild and fearless.
My aunt told me she thinks all the drug abuse he had fried his brain because he does dangerous shit without thinking xD

She needs to be medicated. We think she's Bi-polar as it does run in the family.
She switches moods out of nowhere.
The other day, me and my mom and sister had a good day and she didn't bother us all day and then she just enters bitch mode and gets a shitty attitude out of nowhere.
We didn't do anything to her, but she started treating us shitty >__>
But yet she goes around saying her ex is Bi-polar and needs to be medicated.

I get more and more tired of people with each passing day.
I don't know what it's like to not walk on eggshells every second I'm conscious.
I don't know what it's like to never have anxiety because people make it worse.
I don't know what it's like to make a small mistake and not get yelled at for it.

Oh, she wouldn't go. My mom has been taking my sister to therapy and the doctor gave her some medication to try and my aunt was like "She's too young to be on medication! All those medications don't even do anything!"
Yup. Antidepressants and the like do NOTHING. So don't take them.

I showed signs of depression and an anxiety disorder around my early teens.
I didn't know what it was, I didn't get help, I didn't get medication.
All I got was a mental breakdown at school and Agoraphobia and never leave my home.
Because that's way better than taking medication and therapy.

People didn't talk about depression or mental illness in general when I was a kid.
I just thought I was a weak piece of garbage because I wasn't like the other kids in my class.
I also found out my best friend was on anti-depressants too then.

I know my dad grew up in the 60s and 70s and he said no one talked about depression.
He said when he felt bad, he'd just self-medicate.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. My parents would ask every day if I feel well enough to quit taking anti-depressants, and told me watching me take anti-depressants made them depressed so I need to stop. Like you can tell what I'm taking is anti-depressants. It's not like I'm taking pills that says ANTI-DEPRESSANT written on them in giant flashing letters. I take other pills. They don't find me taking those pills depressing. Just pretend they're vitamins or something if that really bothers you. Eventually the pressure got to me and I quit taking anti-depressants for a while, though, so I guess it worked. For a while.

They also told me that since I don't get panic attacks in crowds that I can't be depressed. Um, that sounds like social anxiety or agoraphobia. They can co-occur with depression but it's not a symptom of depression.

They also told me that since it's normal to be sad in my situation, it can't be depression. I asked them, if I fell off the roof of a building and broke my legs, would you say that I don't need to go to the hospital since it's normal to break limbs when you fall off from the roof of a building? They didn't have an answer for that.

People used to ask me if I took my anti-depressants if I got upset about anything.
Like I'm not allowed to get upset about anything.

I've heard people say you can cure your own depression by just stop being sad.
I've heard people say depression is the realization you can't get everything you want in life.
I've heard people say "chemical imbalance" is a lie to get you to buy medication.

I have Agoraphobia xD
It's incredibly apparent I don't do well in public.
But not everyone is Agoraphobic.
There's tons of anxiety disorders.
And not everyone reacts identical to each other.
Like when I go shopping, I don't like standing in line while we check out because I get anxious and I'm always in the way, so I'll go stand somewhere else and wait until my mom or whoever is ready to leave.
I worry someone will think I'm trying to steal stuff, but I'm just extremely anxious and go somewhere to get away from people.
Yesterday I wanted some cheese at the store, but I didn't want to go get it because a worker was doing something there at that moment.

Yup. That shut them up 8u
People refuse to listen to professionals because they think they know better.
Unless you're a doctor, you have no right to tell people to take or not take medication.
I've gone like a week or two without my medication.
I literally felt crazy. Like I was going to attack someone or hurt myself xD

I do the same thing! If I see that someone is near what I want, I'll just come back later.

People are dumb. They see conspiracy everywhere. Like how vaccine cause autism? Even if it does, wouldn't you rather have a living autistic child than a dead neurotypical child? I just find that line of argument highly selfish. To me that says, "I'd rather risk my child becoming sick and dying than inconvenience my life by having to care for a child who isn't neurotypical."

I don't find anything wrong with hating medication and wanting to use herbal remedies and stuff and alternatives, but there's some things that you need medication for.
I'm a paranoid person. I think everyone is out to hurt me, I don't trust my government fully, blah blah blah but vaccines aren't bad.
Autism is genetic, right? You're already fucked once you're born.
Vaccines keep you from getting sick and dying.
And I don't understand how parents can just let their kids get sick and suffer.
Like I'm not good with kids, but I have a motherly nurturing side and I would NOT let my kid catch diseases the best I could.
You got a vaccine to stop Polio? Serve it up. You got a vaccine to stop Chickenpox? Serve it up.
I ain't going to risk my child's safety by not getting them vaccinated.
And I don't want to risk hurting other kids by my kid spreading the disease.
