I got a few barbies. My dad's company handed out gifts at St. nicks every year, but every kid got a card with their gender and age. according to that, they bought everyone a gift. I got dolls and barbies, but especially when seeing all the options (for other ages/genders), I was super disappointed. I wanted the big truck. ;__;

My parents got me some Fabuland when I was little, it was the "girl/gender neutral" lego at that age.

Later, I did get some tiny dolls for my mom who became my models. I hand sewed some simple tees/tee-dresses (like, cut 2 t-shape fabric pieces and sew together) for them, but that was about it. Dolls weren't my thing, never have been. :> I hated being treated like a girl, so I also stopped wearing dresses for a long time.

I was super girly as a kid. I loved playing with my Barbies, My Little Pony toys, stuffed animals. I'd often change clothes several times a day to just go look at myself in the mirror. I was a little diva, lol XD But I remember I played with legos as well. I'd build a temporary lego home for our hamsters when we were cleaning their cage. And I often played with lego people, playing house of course XD
I stopped wearing dresses at some point, I can't really remember when or why. Probably just puberty XD
My sister was more of a boys toys girl, my mom was actually worried xD

My parent's knew what to buy for me, other people often came with a hit or miss. I've always loved books, but those were super expensive gifts. So I collected many knick-knacks from a "world" store, mostly African tiny statues, animals, people. Made of wood, I liked those, decorated my room with them. :)

But that was later on. I only wore bulky clothes during my puberty years, I wanted to hide everything about me that changed, always felt super insecure. :> Reached the "fuck it" point at 18-20 I think, ever since I wear what I like.

I have no idea about the generations of those, I remember the ones I had were nice and slim, instead of the clunky things they started making later (or earlier? or both? lol)

I've played Jenga but not in childhood. It was more of Memory and Super Farmer for me Some video games too, I remember my dad brought some diskettes with super early games like Super Frog, Prince of Persia... Haha, nostalgia.

I think I was pretty easy as a kid when it comes to gifts. Stuffed animals, dolls, anything of the like. I remember the rage for Baby Born dolls, Furbies, and I always fought with my sister about Barbies, because she'd always get the blonde ones and I had to get Barbie's dark haired friends xD My parents came up with a system, once she gets the blonde, another time I do.
I still have a few of my fave Barbie dolls buried in some drawer, lol.

Oh, don't get me started on my collections of everything and anything: crystals, figurines, key chains, seashells, seaweed (ew, I know, I also completely forgot about it once we came back home from vacation at the Baltic sea and it rotted for a while until I cleaned the room, yuck xD)
I'm all for everything that's shiny.

I just remembered I was playing with broken glass many times in childhood, pretending they were pretty gems XD

I began wearing more dresses a few years back. Remembered how I was as a little girl and it struck a cord. I wanted to tap into that fun time again. I still stare at myself in the mirror when I'm looking good XD #Libravanity
Recently I just wear whatever I feel like, unless I'm feeling crappy and want to improve my mood, then I might dress up even though I'm not feeling like it. It works wonders sometimes

I just liked making stuff, still do to be honest. :) The playing with after, meh.

White shirts -> nude bra's, those work wonders. but I don't really like white either, white always makes me clumsy, like. I should not dump food on this tee, I should not... too late. >.> Super clumsy and it seems like mainly when I wear white. So I tend to just avoid that "color".

Dressing up does indeed work wonders, I'm not vain, but wearing something nice, immediately does improve my whole mood.

Tiramisu tonight. And I think we'll grill some meat with salad, bread & herb butter... :D
