I heard that there are some cases where bloodletting is actually needed. Can't remember the reasons tho. I think when people are poisoned? They use the leeches to draw out poisoned blood while they transfuse fresh blood... I think... don't quote me on that ._.

I stopped playing the .Hack GU game because someone had upset me.. but that was different than bad sportsmanship.. its was more of I didn't like his waifu at all and got attacked for it.

It did have a name, I believe but I can't remember it u8

I also love learning about mental illness was treated.
I don't know the name, if there was one, but it was something like...flailing a person around to put their mind back in place because it was scrambled.
So shaking a patient violently would help put their brain pieces back together and they'd be cured.

They also used to give lobotomies. Which is a horrible thing. It would take your whole personality away. You'd just be a...husk :\


Yeah, you told me about that. It's disappointing because I have so many good memories surrounding that game. It makes me sad someone would stop playing it because of some douchehole 8u

I love how they still use maggots to this day to help eat away at dead skin. o3o Like if someone is severely burned or something, in come maggots... (ew... QAQ)

Well.. seeing as how a lot of mental illness was also used as a sign of witchcraft... I think I'd take shaken baby syndrome over being drowned or stoned to death >->


Lobotomies were still being done till what.. the 1950s? 60s? oAo it was a favorite in Criminal Minds >w>
And there's kind of an episode in the anime ID:INVADED where a dude drilled holes into people skulls... >->


Dude ended up spoiling half the game while he was at it.. >:x (still hasn't played FF10 or 10/2 because friend spoiled crap for me)

It's one thing if I spoil myself .. but when someone else spoils something for me.. I have a hard time getting back into the game. >A<

It's funny because people thought that the lobotomy fixed people.
Like "Yay they're not crazy anymore!" but they lose their personalities and stuff.
In the United States, approximately 40,000 people were lobotomized. In England, 17,000 lobotomies were performed, and the three Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden had a combined figure of approximately 9,300 lobotomies. Scandinavian hospitals lobotomized 2.5 times as many people per capita as hospitals in the US. Sweden lobotomized at least 4,500 people between 1944 and 1966, mainly women. This figure includes young children. In Norway, there were 2,005 known lobotomies. In Denmark, there were 4,500 known lobotomies. In Japan, the majority of lobotomies were performed on children with behaviour problems. The Soviet Union banned the practice in 1950 on moral grounds. In Germany, it was performed only a few times. By the late 1970s, the practice of lobotomy had generally ceased, although it continued as late as the 1980s in France.

It upsets me knowing it was done to children.
Children who had their whole lives ahead of them and had their whole personality destroyed :\

Not to mention if you had a family member with mental illness, they were an abomination and shunned and locked away.

I bought the game, but it...was being weird. My character was running everywhere like...in slow motion and I don't know why. I couldn't play like that because it was so annoying. No one had a solution for me either =__=

I encourage you to play FFX and FFX-2 8u
Even if you had it spoiled, they're still fun games.
I've replayed them numerous times and still enjoyed them.

I will watch anime for a bit then stop and then never finish what I was watching 8u;

I've a few anime stalled because of that... =/ They were good series too but I just don't feel in the mood to watch them


I think its because I need to delete some crap off my phone. xD

That's exactly it. I hate that I have to be in the mood to do stuff.
I wish I could just say "I'm going to do this 8u" and just do it. Not have to wait for the mood.
