Don't think about a next time just yet, just enjoy this one. <3 If it helps, 2nd babies tend to come faster and the bleeding to death part, I hope that if there'd be a next time, they'd check why and check more frequently to avoid that? Anywayyyys, just recover now. All you gotta do and feed and cuddle baby. Lots.

OMG jacob!!! That's one hell of a birth story, literally I was super worried about you (all of you) and I kept praying for a positive resolution to whatever was happening. Thank dog and the doctors you pulled through! That must've been super scary for you and J, I can't even imagine

Oh, and don't think I forgot... I find it amazing that even though women can go through literall hell during labour, they still love their babies like nobody's business QuQ

I hope you're proud of yourself and that recovery is less bumpy than the labour

Having a baby is such an adventure.
And your adventure had a bumpy beginning, but in the end it's all teles to tell them when they grow.
"Oh, my dear, the day you came into this world was such a mess!"

Yep, if you have a hard birth it's harder finding the nerve to doing it a second time. I wanted two children, but gave up completely on having the second one.
Some people have bad memory though, and after two or three years they forget the hell they went thru and only remember the nice parts.
Time will tell which case is yours!

Well, if you decide you want to give him a sibling but don't want to risk going through bad labour again, you could try to adopt. I heared it's easier to get approved when a couple has already had a child.

It's good to hear J is coping better, at least one of you can be less shaken up
I'm sure you'll be fine alone with your little one Although I do think fathers should be allowed a longer parental leave, it's not fair to anyone...

I think I wouldn't want any visits after a couple weeks after birth, I'd be like, I'm tired, leave me alone, see ya in a year or so A newborn is already overwhelming, especially the first one, then also having to deal with people... hard pass. I only have enough social battery to deal with my kid and my partner, and even he pisses me off. (Yes, I already chose my new-mom attitude, I'll be a pain in the ass, lol).

I guess some people just never grow up?
