Yea, there's a lot of fresh water dwarf shrimp.
Amano Shrimp are actually quite interesting as when they breed, their babies need brackish water to survive to their juvenile age. I don't have the skill to help them so the babies is a free all you can eat buffet for the betta xD
Him over eating on those things is probably what caused him to get sick =w=, its when I started noticing the lumps.
The Snowball Shrimp, they're like the other dwarf shrimp that don't have any special needs to breed. Though it's not recommended to mix the different dwarf that don't need brackish water for their babies to survive. So a Fire Shrimp or Sakura Shrimp breeding with a Blue Dream Shrimp could cause muddied and blah colors. So its best to keep the different color and color grades separate. o3o
I should get them a zucchini next time i'm out. The plecos would probably like that too.
