Yes. Yes it is. If you work retail you're going to hear it approximately 15 times per shift
Which is a lot, but not even the worst. Some songs you hear multiple times an hour

... that sounds like torture. Surely these days there's the capacity for a larger playlist so you get more variety??

My playlist on Spotify is over 60 hours, but I know Xmas music is a lot more limited. 29596938827284 covers of 12 days of Christmas, 2949683726163775 covers of Silent Night, etc
Even at the theme park I used to work at, you'd hear every song at least once per shift. God help ya if you had a double because then you'd hear the songs twice
Unless half the day was in a different area cuz not all places had music and the places that did had their own playlists

And here I thought that every year more and more christmas songs were released as one of the more popular things to create, but even then it's not enough to give a proper variety?

I like when businesses let the employees pick what to play on the radio. My bank job always had country or Christian music because I worked with a bunch of can't do nothing bad Christians. (I never complained or picked because I didn't care). Now it's like "who put this sh*t on the radio" and then they realize who it is and either give them a hard time for their tastes (jokingly) or just be cool with it.

That does sound more appealing! Not that I know anything about how to find what I like on the radio, but that kind of a job would teach you fast, so....
