But I suppose those little details are quite subjective, and maybe the director does not feel the same about them as you do.

And sometimes it's not just the little details, it's the whole vibe of the story.
Comes to mind Charlie and the chocolate factory, beloved book which was adaptaded by Tim Burton with a great cast. And I disliked that adaptation so much. For me it missed the whole point of the story.
People loved it, so I suppose it¡s just my opinion, but that was not the vibe I would go for.

i knowww, like i know some details that i absolutely loveddd in the book will most likely NOT be in the movie but i can always hope. and then they're not and i go QuQ there's still a bit of disappointment when it doesn't show up, even though the detail i liked was particularly minor and had like nothing to do with forwarding the plot.
