It comes with the territory, I'm afraid. Not everyone can be liked. But if you're being flamed as staff, you have the same privileges as the users too. Just have to let it ride off of your back sometimes, though. Not everyone is nice. :<
Also, if it's a select few, maybe dealing with it case by case would be easier than an announcement too. That way it gets the point across better.

We are talking about the fact that there are people who forget that there are REAL people behind these avatars. That everyone here deserves to be treated with respect, not just mods, but every user. That you should not write things you would not say to a person standing in front of you just because you think you can hide behind the anonymity of the internet.
And that our mods are also users and not robots or payed employees and have feelings too. and like every other user they can get upset or have a bad day.
They do not move or delete threads just to annoy you but because they try to keep everything in order here.
They act not upon their arbitrariness or mood, but according to the rules of this site.
They are only human and bound to make mistakes like everyone else.
They are an important part of this site and devote their free time and effort to help this site exist.
Mods do not ask for you to worship them or threat them better than any other user gets treated, but they would like not to be treated worse.
Our moderators don't get anything out of this, no money, no food, no extra items. I think that it isn't too much to ask for some appreciation at least.
I think that a great part of our users understands this and treats our moderators well, but this is for the few users who don't.

Well, I suppose they do deserve a bit of respect for donating their time. But, they're no different than other users, they're people, just like us. So I don't fear them, or hold them in high praise. I do thank them once in a while, for doing good work, and deleting stuff or whatever.

I get kinda sad when I read things like this, of course you show respect even if all you can see is a little picture made by pixels. All human have feelings and on the internet you have to be even more carefull about what you write and how you write it as people can't read that you are meaning it ironically or something like that.
And I kinda feel that admins and mods should get even more respect as they are doing all the hard work, while we just use this site. Everyone have the right to be in here and to feel safe and good about being on here.
I really hope that those people who coursed this reminder thinks about it, so they too can enjoy being here.
But to say something good in the end, I have never felt that I wasn't respected and I have written with a lot of nice people and use many hours on this site, so thanks everyone for your work no matter how big or small it might be *bows deeply*

:x I love the Mods. And Admins here. =_=.
They have to put up with a lot of crap, running a site like they do.
And I've befriended some of the Moderators, and I've talked to Firn as a person and not the AdminLady.
It's not hard for me to see the staff as 'people, too'.
That, and I'm nice to everyone most of the time.
Just because we're on the Internet doesn't mean you can't hurt someone's feelings.

It's a bit upsetting that people have to be told this. it should be obvious that there aren't computers behind these avitars. why anyone whould think otherwise, i don't know. =_=
