My positive things:
1. Got some fun crafting in
2. Awesome event with lovely people who I'm super glad were free to come
3. Introduced to a company that makes GORGEOUS puzzles, and was privileged enough to get to try one out
(for the curious, it's this company here ... and we did this puzzle here )
4. latest food experiment came out well
5. Got to play some whist. Haven't played cards at all in a long time, and it was fun to be able to get into it a bit again. We even managed a few duck hands this time around, finally. Usually someone ends up putting down a black card, but we played three full games (several hands each, since no one had a hand with run-away points) and got several duck hands in. It was fun!

1. Family is being far more mellow than I remembered last visit
2. It's just gorgeous out, weather-wise
3. There's a snowy egret sitting on a fallen tree maybe 40 meters away
4. Managed to repair the grandfather clock (whew. it's expensive to get a specialist out to look at those things, and grandma really loves that)
5. looks like the mailbox flag won't be too hard to fix
