If it meant getting a HUGE discount on all the meat, I would go to a slaughterhouse and kill a cow. I don't have a choice in eating meat or not, because if I don't get animal protein, I start to tend toward anemic, which is NOT fun. Health issues are great. /sarcasm

I would only kill an animal to eat it if I had no other choice. I do eat meat, but I always pray before I do, so as to honor the sacrifice of the animal.

I don't eat the flesh of living animals, but I do eat eggs for complete proteins- so "meat" technically? No, I myself wouldn't kill a cow.

So, I do eat meat. But I also know that I would have a tough time killing a cow if I even manage to do it. I had trouble eating this German meal made with sheep meat because my mom was talking about how her mom killed a lamb for meat or something of the like and the thought had me upset. Hypocrite of me, I know. But it's so much easier when you don't have the blood on your hands.

I do eat meat, and I'm fully aware of what has to happen for me to obtain said meat. And I believe in the certain give and take nature of life- we feed the cow, and in return the cow feeds us, etc.- but I don't think I could actually do the deed myself. It feels hyprocritical to say that, but I just... can't end another life.

I eat meat and I know what has to be done to get the meat, but I don't know if I could do the deed itself, slaughterhouse or even in the wild to survive. A friend of mine actually worked in a slaughterhouse for a while and it was his job to kill the cows. He said he had to quit after a year or so because he was starting to have nightmares about killing them. I don't think I could look something in the eye and take its life, even to sustain my own.

Well, I guess I could bc in most places, it's fairly quick to do and all.

I do eat meat, but I couldn't kill my own meat. I don't even like to eat meat that's still on the bones.

i eat a lot more meat than i'd like (convenience + price, it's complicated), but i don't intend to ever stop eating meat and i don't think there's anything morally wrong with eating meat.
would i kill a cow to eat it? depends on how i'm told to kill it, i guess. i wouldn't want the thing to be scared while i'm trying to kill it, i'd want it to be peaceful, emotionally, and have a quick end.
i've killed other animals before - comes with the territory of being a farmer - so i'm not squicked out by the idea of killing something. i just don't want the thing to suffer while it's on its way out.
i'm aware that most animals can sense that death is approaching and start to panic before it happens, so i doubt there's any real life scenario that is possible where i'd be comfortable being the guy doing the killing.

all that said, if the absolutely evil meat industry were ever to collapse and meat became something you couldn't get your hands on anymore, i wouldn't mind. i like to eat meat, but it's not like i'd lose my mind without it.
