Rarely do I find myself in a social setting where this applies but I find that they are both equally as bad
If you lose, suck it up its just a game. If you win, dont be a d-bag and celebrate in your head. No need to run it in

I feel like you can celebrate being a winner a little bit, but insulting other people or anything like that is not celebrating, it's just being rude.

I've just been wondering where people get it from. Like, who thought this was ok the first time, and why would they think it's ok to mimic?

I've learned to ignore chat on online games if possible... I've found a lot of online games with in-game chat can be extremely toxic, so if the chat can't be avoided/ignored I generally won't play that game...
I saw a lot of that in LoL and it really made the game not fun for me, so I just stopped playing it...
I try my hardest to solo online games because of LoL and how toxic in game chats seem in general places...
the only game I play that has tons of people and has a lot of "friendship" tasks is one where there is no chat implemented so you just emote at one another, you can unlock chat with specific people of your choosing, but it's not needed at all. (the game is Sky: Children of the Light)
