If I'd have someone assigned to me in those 1000 years that would help me get on track with how humanity lives, than yes. My emotional bounds with others are not strong. I do love my pets and respect my family, but I am well in peace with a thought of losing them one day. If I was to die, I can as well see what waits in store for humanity in 1000 years.

Ha....hahahaha.... Yeah, no. While it sounds awesome, I'd wake up with a maybe cure and no one I'd know. And that right there might kill me more than whatever was killing me enough to be offered being frozen to begin with. As my mom has said, I'm selective when it comes to people I warm up to. I don't mean to, but it happens and this also means whoever I have in my life now I hold too close to the heart to want them truly gone.
In conclusion? I might die of broken heart syndrome if I got frozen.

Cool time to die is known
Time to make sure all my stuff will go to people who will appreciate it
Be frozen for a long time? Naw bro
I'm out of touch with pop culture now, and I'm not exactly fast to adapt, I think. Who knows what life will be like in a thousand years?

kitestrings wrote:no because cryogenics is impossible. if it *was* possible, the answer is still no because all my friends would be dead and i'd be alone and still exactly who i am physically and mentally, and who knows if society still exists in 1,000 years. i'd rather spend 3 months with my friends than risk dying of starvation or exposure in a post-apocalyptic climate change doom world, lol.
Impossible? In what way? I've read articles supposing it's impossible because you can't thaw everything at once so if your brain thawed before your other organs you'd die, but that's talking current technology. And given that your brain is all that's YOU anyway it could always be he ONLY thing frozen, if we had cryo tech why not braim-transplant tech?

I think I'd say yes. My family would probably want me to say yes. I would take the chance that things would be better in 1000 years and that I could start over.

no. if it were something I was going to die from anyway, and likely causing a lot of pain. definitely no.
I would just make "next life goals"

Its a intriguing notion but i don't think I would do it. I don't want to wake up in a unknown time and know that everything and everyone I ever loved was gone.

I would, because the odds are, I'd be in pain from the illness anyway, and I'd like to think that humanity would have evolved in 1,000 year.

nope, definitely not. It would be as if someone from the middle ages would live in this era. Total confusion and impossible to fit in. I'll pass.
