I dunno. Gaia? Lol. Maybe Dappervolk. I hear people talk about that site a lot but I've never been on it. There's a different generation of social media out there now though so it's to be expected. Websites like this are stuck in an older age and haven't adapted well, especially to mobile platforms so teenagers wouldn't see much appeal anyway.

I don't really know, I'm not going anywhere else - and I'm not planning on ever doing.
I'm stuck in the old ways too and I don't feel like finding out new places.

But talking to young teenagers, in general they don't know what a forum is or how the work.
They whole post-and-wait thing is odd for them.

Maybe ppl might not know what to talk about?

Yeah, that's quite likely.
It's hard finding a topic to chat with people you don't know.
But, dunno, maybe one of the already existing topics catches your eye?

I’m definitely a lurker through and through, and I always have been. Hell, I play on a lot of avatar sites, and I’m a lurker on all of them! LOL

Also, I hardly ever have the time (or the energy and motivation) to post, so I’m bound to only post once a day, if that, which makes holding a conversation (and following it!) too hard, hence why I just don’t post at all, because it feels kinda unpleasant to jump in on people’s conversations or to reply to a person 5 days (or pages) later, kek.

I’m also fairly shy lol, which doesn’t help!

Well, if you are in many sites it's hardly possible that you are actively posting in them all!
I'm just a regular here, so I can focus all my energy xD

I started out as a lurker in the early days of the internet but over time have gradually evolved into a shameless babbler.

It just took time.

I wonder how many other lurkers are on that same journey, and a decade or two from now will post without hesitation?

I would definitely talk more if I knew that I was

1. Posting at the same time as one (or two, max) other person, to keep the conversation going without too much dead time

and

2. Talking about something that really interests me, and that warrants a conversation. Sometimes you just don't know what to say anymore and the convo fizzles out, y'know?
