No, it cannot be based of an old Knuffel, but has to be your own work.
I don't really see any option for anyone to create a Knuffel if you can't do art at all (Though I believe everyone can, even though everyone has different skills!).
I am afraid I am not sure what you mean by "we get to keep our Knuffel?" etc.
I think, Will we get to keep our knuffel? means:
will you get a WildKnuffel to keep after submitting it, without paying.
* My guess at this moment, since I haven't submitted one yet, is after you submit it you would still have to purchase one, once it is approved.
You might want to consider having at least between 2500-3000 FP on hand in case your not the first one to buy your Wild knuffel because the price goes up after several are bought.
Once the 30 days are over your WildKnuffel will no longer be available to you or anyone.

Yeah, but the food does not get added to the economy! It's only food that is being already there, being transferred from one user to another. And for every 625000 the creator would get, another 625000 food get taken out of the economy! I only see benefits of this!

No Knuffel will ever be able to battle once the Battle system is out.
The system is not for the Knuffel, they only add you battle bonuses.
But Wild Knuffel do not have any battle bonuses if that is what you mean. But considering you can always only use the battle bonuses of a few Knuffel at a time, it is not any big loss whether the Wild Knuffel could give you their battle bonuses or not because once you have reached a certain number of Knuffel, additional Knuffel won't be able to help you in battle anymore.

Ah, if that is what the question means I can explain why you don't get your own Knuffel for free once you have submitted it, because it was an idea we had and it only seemed logical.
You have to remember, that, even though Wild Knuffel cannot dig on candy island, and earn you less food for leveling up than normal Knuffel, they still earn you almost 6000 food for leveling them up and you have to remember that they need so much less EXP to level up. Since you can submit as many Wild Knuffel as you want, and I do not reject Knuffel because they are "poorly" drawn (there are many other reasons why I have to reject some Knuffel, like they being completely out of proportion, only filling a fraction of the image, not being clean-cut, etc...), this could be abused too much.
We absolutely cannot afford any feature that lets users release a mass of food into the economy and that could be abused that easily. Therefore you still have to buy your own Knuffel. Keep in mind that, if you buy it at the price of 2500, you still make a profit of 3500 food for leveling them up!

Lol xD Ok, so because of the wild knuffel system everyone will be so broke that the economy is going to be better? I kind of understood it that way. It's funny.
I was already very broke because of buying some knuffels, and because of school I don't really have any time atm to earn food en masse either.
