Actually, that one sentence pretty much contained my entire depth of knowledge. I suppose not everyone does planning for their RP, but I've seen people do it, and it seems to keep things moving.

Seen as in examples, or they just talked about having done it? Are we talking plotting it in advance, or just making characters like we already did?

I mean, there's the threads that are devoted to OOC chat for particular RPs, and people usually plan plot events in those. I've also seen people just do small OOC comments within RPs offering suggestions about where they want the plot to head. Some people just wing it, but those seem more likely to stagnate.

```{OOC}
Let us now speak out of character about the plot.
There is a guy from the Netherlands in my Systematics class who studies fossil primates. He says it's some group that is neither monkeys nor apes, and there are no extant members. Any idea what that could be?
```{OOC}
I strongly believe that we should have a plot. It should follow the general format of Song of the Lioness/Protector of the Small, in that we start out being ten years old and end up older than that by the end. What say you?
```
You like that? We practice now :qwhee:
Umm... I know there are some groups that branched off near lemur time and inhabited various areas. Those would be not monkeys nor apes. I don't know any specifics, though.
((Your ```{OOC} is laborious. Can't we just use parentheses like everyone else?
Yes, yes, plot is good. That was the format I figured we would do. It should keep us moving forward in time, if not in story. We can either try to develop a story within the format as we go, or plan out something more intensive ahead of time. I would be good with either. But if we want to do any foreshadowing or bringing in of important characters early on, we need to establish that soonish, even if it's just as simple as coming up with a grab bag of characters and plot hooks that we can draw on later.))
We have characters already. There's a list. Grab at your leisure. You'll need to select a love interest, of course (at least one :qh: ). It's required by TP Law.
```

Ahem. Format.

((Ah yes, I had forgotten how richly you had stocked those particular waters. Man, we/mostly you had come up with a lot of stuff for the plot, too. Makes me feel all... inadequate. How are we going to deal with NPCs? Do we both control them at our own discretion, or will some be property of one of us in particular? Just love interests, maybe?))

I've seen it where the other person plays the love interest(s), so you don't have to woo yourself.

You should draw our characters as adults, too! And transitional stages! For the other book covers!
