Shinigami paused when he noticed the children looking distressed. Oh dear, had they not been told about Asura? He pressed his large hand against his mask. He was getting a head of himself now, wasn't he.. "Asura- is the god of madness that I had fought with years before any of you were even born, over a hundred years ago. I had to seal him in his own skin, deep beneath the dirt and rubble under the school, to keep him from corrupting the world with chaos and madness.." He said to them as simple as he could, not to get them worked up any more than they already were.

Ruby looked down at the floor. What did any of this have to do with her father? Unless Delia was a test for her to gain more power so she could become stronger, like her father.. "None of this makes since..." She muttered quietly under her breath. Shinigami glanced at her, cocking his head to the side. "Get to the point, lord Death- why did you call us in here? Surely not to lecture us after the day we've had." Ruby murmured, trying to keep calm. If Shinigami had a human face, he'd probably be frowning right about now. He cared for the students of DWMA. "Really, I just wanted to thank you for tracking down the Lunar witch- and to tell you four that things were only going to get harder." He said, honestly and calmly. Including Chaos even though he had left the room.

Both twins blinked in amazement, unable to process what was being told to them at that moment. On hearing Shinigami-sama's thanks, they nodded, acknowledging it, but did not say he was welcome. Surely he'd understand. Their internal reactions, however, were rather different from each other.

Kira couldn't help it when her spirits suddenly plumetted to ground level on hearing everything. A god of madness, and Delia's immediate realization that she was not alone. She'd obviously strengthened her defenses since the last time the twins had seen her, meaning she was almost definitely preparing for something. In light of what had just been said, all those things made sense.

Kayo, on the other hand, was thinking of what to do next. That was the thing that differentiated the twins; one was extremely negative-minded and got lost in her lack of self-confidence, while the other was constantly thinking of the best way to tackle a situation and keep himself and his sister (and, now, his friends) safe. Chaos wasn't here right now, but Kira and Ruby were. He pulled them both close to his side.

"This simply means that we will have to work harder, isn't it?" he said, smiling subtly, trying to keep the girls' spirits up. "We'll have to push ourselves and get stronger, until we're able to beat that witch or any other one that comes our way. We'll do our best to make sure that Asura doesn't wake up." He sounded a lot braver than he felt, but this was necessary to pep up his friends. "As for Chaos," he turned to Ruby. "We're going to get him his own soul." There was no way they would be able to fight any witch with a soul as unstable as Chaos'.

Shinigami understood completely when the students reacted the way they did. Ruby blinked a few times when Kayo had suddenly pulled her, and his sister, by his sides. She glanced up at him with amazed ruby eyes, then glanced away when she felt her cheeks begin to heat. "Chaos.." She murmured quietly, smirking lightly at Kayo's comment. Finding him a soul, would be more difficult than fighting a witch.. That much was certain.

"Let's go find him, and go home." Ruby said to her friends with a content smirk. Lord Shinigami was finished with them, they could leave now. Chaos hadn't really gone anywhere, he was just waiting for them outside.

Kayo kept up his smile and nodded at Ruby's idea. Going home and resting for the day was exactly what they all needed at the moment. And he and Kira would need some time to themselves after what happened with Delia earlier that day. There was little doubt that Kira wouls spend several sleepless nights over this event, the way she had when she'd given Kayo his scar.

They all walked out together, and Kira saw Chaos standing right outside the Death Room. As soon as she saw him, she went up to him and gave him a hug. "Are you okay?" she asked him.

Ruby smirked when Kayo nodded to her words, and she followed the twins out of Death's room. She was feeling better enough to walk on her own, but she was still a little tired from the day they had experienced. She relaxed when she saw Chaos waiting for them just out in the hall.

..She was worried about her weapon. The darkness in his golden eyes had caught her by surprise, before he left the room to wait in the hall.

Chaos didn't really feel like talking, when Kira came over and hugged him he just wrapped his arms around her smaller frame and rested the top of his head above hers for a moment. He didn't respond to her question, just nodded lightly- seeing how he couldn't lie to his friends.. He slowly released Kira and glanced at their small group, the went and picked Ruby up on his back as to carry her. "Let's get out of here." He said to the twins, sercuring his meister on his back.

Kira gave Chaos a little smile as he released her, really hoping he would be okay. She watched as Chaos went over to pick up Ruby, smiling a little more at it, and then then went over to her brother, who put his arm around her and gave her a smile. She smiled back, feeling really glad that she had such great friends and an amazing brother. For the first time all day, she felt a flicker of optimism that maybe, just maybe, they could do this after all.

Kayo felt a little relieved when he saw some of the nervous tension leave his sister's face. She was actually growing stronger, he thought. The last time they'd fought Delia, Kira had been on edge for weeks, getting scared at the smallest sound, crying at night instead of sleeping, feeling like they were going to die at any moment and just being really pessimistic in general. She still was a little pessimistic, but there was no denying she was improving. He was proud of her. Now that she was feeling better, he thought he could crack a joke.

"You want a piggy-back ride too?" he asked, grinning widely, and receiving an elbow in the ribs for it, but also receiving a wider smile from his sister. And then he wondered, was this a bad time to bring it up? He decided it wasn't So he asked, "Or do you just want Chaos to give you a piggy-back ride?" before snickering at his snickering at his sister's horror-struck, blushing face.

Ruby couldn't help but smirk, when she realized what Kayo was trying to do. Chaos glaced foreword when Mira's face lit up. He couldn't deny that she was cute when she blushed. Sure he liked Kira, but he wasn't going to make it a big deal. Chaos smirked and glaced at Kayo. "Should I give Ruby to you then?" He asked, trying to make a comeback. Of course, he failed to see his Meister's own darkening cheeks, since she was on his back.

Chaos chuckled and shook his head, then began walking down the hall. They all just needed to get home... Tomorrow would be a new day.

Kira scoffed a little at the guys' antics. "What the hell, guys?" she questioned them, half-scolding, half-amused. She shook her head at them both, giving Ruby an exasperated smile. Her smile was natural, in spite of the events earlier that day. She didn't realize what it meant; she had truly grown as a person.

Kayo laughed out loud and gave Chaos a light punch on the arm, so as not to throw him off balance while he was holding Ruby.

Kira wasn't sure, but she seemed to be the only one to notice... was there something unusual about how Kayo was acting. No.... well, yes, but it was subtle. His reaction to Chaos's joke was a little off. She didn't know how, but she knew. Might as well, she thought. There'd be something to tease him about if he brought Chaos up again.

Chaos smirked at Kayo's actions and chuckled.
Ruby just kind of rested her head on his back and closed her eyes, feeling tired again.

They all walked home together and eventually slip off to get to their own dorms or whatever..
Ruby was asleep on Chaos's back, so he carefully got his keys and unlocked the door. He opened the door, then used his foot to open it more, so he could get in. He then went upstairs and carefully laid Ruby down in her bed. Chaos went back downstairs and closed the door, then sat on the couch and stared up at the ceiling. Man, what a day this turned out to be...
