I know more about my mom's side of the family than my dad's. My Grandma's (dad's mom) parents had passed away when she was young and she was taken in by her grandma, her grandma refused to talk about her family. So we know nothing about my grandma's side of the family. It makes me wonder if they were hiding/running away from some thing. All we know is our family on my dad side is Bohemian, German, maybe British, Dutch and that's all I remember.
My mom's side of the family has Dracula and Jessie James. On my mom's side, we are Scottish, Irish, Cherokee, Transylvanian, and I think a few others.

I don't think I have anyone interesting in my family history. But, then again, I only know my family history as far as its living members. No one knows anything about my Grandmama's life back in Sicily (and her dementia is too bad to even remember her parent's names), and on my father's side we don't know anything earlier than my father - my father's father was never around, and my father's mother died tragically when I was 1 so we can't really bring her up... x.x
