Kingdom of Knuffel

The weather is rather hot here today, but now it's raining.
We have a word for it here, but I can't find a proper transalation. It's actually some kind of "storm", but not like the ones in winter. It's a torrid kind of storm, if that makes any sense to you.
And I hate it.

I went over to my neighbor (the one that MIA last year) for some salt... and she gave me the rest of that Forbidden Chocolate Ice Cream ovo yey!

We call them "bochorno", which according to WordReference translate as "scorcher".
(Also as "shame, embarrassment, disgrace", but that's a completely different meaning of the same word xD)

But the point is that in Spanish it refers to scorching days that also have low atmospheric pressure, so it's very likely to rain a lot and be foggy and all that stuff.
That's why we also call it an "storm", in the sense that atmospherically there is a lot going on, but I think it's a quite unaccurate term. Unaccuracy I only notice now that I'm trying to translate it...

I'm always interested in words that are not easily translatable in other languages.

I think I know what kind of weather you're talking about. Where it's super hot and humid (lots of water in the air, making it hard to breathe) and it's raining a lot.

That happens here. It's the worst. If I have to deal with heat I'd rather it would be dry instead of humid.

i'm making... cucumber slaw... cutting up stuff to make my bell pepper and beef stir fry.. stuff... food.. the veggies were nice and cold -w-

cucumbers, onions, salt, apple cider vinegar and sour cream
some people put pepper in it. not sure what else can be added.. its just how mom made it. o3o i started making it these past few years.. >w> still sneak a few pieces of cucumber and onions while its soaking in the salt.

I'm just floating around currently. If I have something to say about the current topic I will involve myself.

Sounds like an interesting mix.
I would give it a try but I'm so picky I probably wouldn't like it. I'm not fond of raw onions.
