Funny too how Grindelwald was focused away from England, too :mcheh: he was interesting. A guy who doesn't care about things or doesn't take things seriously enough to think about good and bad and hurting people. I think if you have no capacity to love in you it'll be difficult for you to be compassionate or kind, of course love can screw you up and make you hate too.

I like characters who have reasons. Who are evil from one perspective, but very good from another. they're more balanced and interesting, methinks.
One of my favourites is Lady Eboshi in Princess Mononoke. She cuts down to forest, ruins nature and kills gods, but her enlightenment ideals are a saviour from a anthropocentric perspective. She gives prostitutes a second life, she gives lepers a place to live and a job to do, and she protects her people.
What great character building!

The thing is, you can probably do things for merit and the general merit of your community without necessarily loving anyone and being compassionate. But you're generally right I think, people who have no love are more likely to be dispassionate.
The problem is the other way around.... There are those character who have too much love for someone and can do evil because of it? Sociopath with a single attachment, perhaps.

lol, Dan is smart. XD I wonder if that other guy still has the bell earrings and that's why he's not affect/covering his ears? It doesn't look like he's been covering them though to me. ^^;

And this talk of bad people makes em think of an episode of GTO when one of the students tries to kill his 'dad' because he blames his mom leaving him on that guy that was his mom's boyfriend. But the mom was willing to let her boyfriend kill her son so that they can run off with a bunch of money the guy stole from the yakuza he was with and use the boy as a dumby. Onizuka is the best! :mclove:

I think Sig has his earrings, so he does not get affected by the song.

When Jess told about doing evil things for love, I instantly recalled This magician from Magic Knight Rayearth that Was in love with the main villain and was doing everything for him. Mostly evil things. Also he was in love with princess of the world and was doing everything for her, which was evil too, 'cause it was causing death of their world.
Damn, now I want to watch it again...

I never got to watch more of it, I should try finding the rest of the show and finish it. XD I got to the part where they just got their 'special' weapons? They were like living weapons or something. x'D

Ahaha, is Sigsworth's nickname Sig? His first name is William :)

ml - I know of Onizuka but don't read it. Maybe I should try it if you recommend it?

Hino - That sounds... complicated.

You guys should totally watch it. Though it gets pretty complicated in the emotions layer. I love it! Plus it's my childhood series, so... It has my love forever, just like Sailor Moon and Slayers.

ml, but they got their weapons at the very beginning... Like in few first episodes. 'Cause after that they were looking for God Machines and it took them a bit and the show itself wasn't very long.

I just thought... Vin would love main villain. He has this looong, black, swooshy hair... :mclaugh:

@Jess
I don't know about the manga, but the live drama is awesome! XD I love it to bits! :qh: :qh: I watched all of the first series and the specials for it, and I've already started watching the second series. XD

@Hinote
Yeah, I wasn't very far in, I'm thinking fourth episode? XD I might just watch it from the beginning to get a refreasher, just I'm not sure if I want to try watching it on Veoh again. @.@
