Hino - wow... slayers takes me back. I had a slayers alarm clock. But i never watched the series because my mother was the sound director and thought it was trash. Wouldn't let me watch it.

You should watch Slayers too. It's so funny. Sometimes it gets pretty dumb, but I loved it. And I still do. And I love the way Lina always destroys everything by putting too much force into her fights. Yet she is afraid to death of her older sister

lol, I have a Lina Inverse Doll. 
I don't like the last series they made for Slayers, it kind of ignores things that that happened in the series before it (I'm counting the two R ones as one whole series because the other ones were 24 eps and those two series were each only 12 and had all the same characters).

One of the main problems I have with slayers is the art... It's such a typical example of the serious case of uglies 90s anime caught... But I do also feel a bit sad that basically the only anime I've watched that was sound produced by my family is witch hunter robin... Perhaps I'll watch slayers.

Ah.. yes. Like I mentioned a few posts back?
I'm sure I said before about this? Or maybe I didn't... My grandmother ran a sound production company most of her life. Mostly putting music, sound effects and voices to anime. Her company did all the gundam stuff, for instance. My grandfather was an actor and a voice actor. My mother worked for my grandmother for a few years and did the sound direction for Slayers.

Now I want to get the original three series of Slayers on dvd and get your family to sign it. owo Though I don't know if I'll ever be able to do that. x'D

Hahah, well, my grandfather is dead... My mother hates the series (sorry >.<) and my grandmother... Well, she's retired and has nothing to do with that stuff anymore. But maybe some of them will.
My favourite experiences with that company was being able to watch the voice actors actually do the recording! I met a couple of people who went on to become quite famous :)

I wonder how I'd do as a seiyu... It always looked like fun job to me.
