@Hotarla, that is because the list is called Permitted House and Hobby Animals. And here having a petting zoo, or doing Equestrian, are considered Hobby practices. :}

Lol I see. So I guess they’re more hobby animals. Cuz yeah, I can’t really see some of those animals wandering in the house lol.

Still, it's bonkers to me that I'm allowed to have a bloody camel, but I can't have a chinchilla. My country is nuts. :}

that was my thought as well. i was like "you can have a CAMEL?? but not like a small little chinchilla?"

mind boggling. xD

I wonder what's so wrong with having chinchillas, though. It doesn't make sense XD

Who knows. Maybe they’re too exotic. XD altho, camels are pretty dang exotic to me lol.

I mean Chinchilla's are related to guinea pigs, and those are allowed.
But what I think is the matter is that Chinchilla's are from a dry climate and thus can not get wet. Which is a thing most people seem to not know.
Camels can be hosed down if they are dirty. :}

who knows? maybe there's some other reason that we don't know about lol.

Oh, so that's why they do the sand baths! Oh, it makes sense now, I never thought of their natural habitat's climate But it doesn't seem like a reason to ban them as pets. Maybe it's because of their fur? I think they used to be bred strictly for their fur and that political party thinks people would come back to that practice?
