I do remember the TP shortage. It didn't really affect me because I tend to buy a large amount of TP at once when it's on sale.

People with children. Kids use stupid amount of TP for absolutely no reason.
I don't know if you're in a popular bidet using area, but in the US we rarely use them. So TP is it.

Also if you were low on it before then you were super fucked cuz it's all gone now. It went in like a few hours.

When I was in college I had some roommates who wasted huge amounts of paper, I figured out the reason for some but not so much for others. And they were adults.
I suppose they won't teach their children to use sensible amounts of toilet paper xD

I think a lot of people do not teach their kids to not waste TP.
