She's elderly and sleeps a lot and I thought she got confused because she'd clean herself and then me.
I'd say "Honey, you're sleep-licking 8,u"
But people told me that cats licking you means they love you and grooming is a sign of affection.

Oh, I don't know. I don't know much about animals. I don't own pets. But I read somewhere that you could teach your dogs to clean up their own menstruation blood? So I assumed that cats also bled.
Aw, you're sweet. I'm just busy. I'm still checking in daily, but I mostly look at the moderator control panel, and check if there are any new posts in the support and then that's basically it for most days.
Aw, that's so cute. I like it when cats groom me, even though it makes me itchy. I did read somewhere that cats also groom as a sign of superiority? Like cats will groom subordinate cats? And that's why sometimes cats will groom each other and then snap at each other and then go back to grooming? Because they want the other to stop grooming them so they can groom the other one and be superior. I don't know. It's so confusing.

I know people get busy, but since Chaos died, I worry even more.
I used to think "I haven't seen them post in two days! OH MY GOD THEY DIED UB"
And they'd be busy or went out of town or it'd be two hours instead of two days.

Cats grooming other cats to make themselves be superior over the other cats.
Cat logic makes no sense.
And while it's dumb, dog logic makes sense.

Oh man, I didn't even think of that. I'm sorry for not checking in more often, in that case.
They are. But they're lovable because of it. 
I think we started on this vein by talking about stray kittens in Moi's neighbourhood? What happened to them, by the way? Hopefully it's not too cold for them there, being further south.

Well, I guess humans kind of do that too? People will comment on each other's fashion as a way to play one-up-man-ship games. Kind of a "I know what looks better on you than you do" sort of thing, so maybe cats grooming each other can be on the same lines? I'm sure it's not always that, but I only have to think back to a rather annoying clique of girls at one of my schools and there's a similar behavior pattern, so...
