Is that a postgraduate degree you're planning to take with your English major Bachelors?
The lake sounds nice. It's been freezing for the past 2 days. I might have collected a thin sheet of ice on myself (not actually) but seeing as it's 13C in the day this week compared to last weeks toasty 20s, I'm feeling the bite.
I've never met anyone who worked from home irl tbh. Not sure how common it is here unless say, you own a business. Retail/food is often fairly easy to get into, but I'm sure you tried those. I too have had trouble with jobs in the past but just keep bugging em is what I learnt. I actually have a job persona, someone super happy and cheery. She wears me out because I'm a big ole introvert and I hate customers but for the sake of money and learning to be more social, I'm more than happy to fool others and myself.

Well I have looked at jobs for at home, I haven't seen much that isn't pyramid scheme like or scam looking.
And when I say remote I mean like in the area or shire/council I'm in. So it could be to a nearby town that's an hour away by car. Sorry wasn't clear on that.
Ah a lot of jobs in general I see that I could apply for I get stuck at that I need a car and license.
I have my learners... driving lessons are expensive though. It's not something I'm ruling out though just something I'm putting aside for a bit because of the cost.
A lot of the jobs I can go for here are retail or such. Hell I applied for kfc, still no word. Probably too old. Always want juniors.
Well I have to re-submit a exp of interest to coles online soo I can put my RSA on it now. It might get a bite. Re-submitting because they allow so every so often.
I used to kind of e able to fake the job persona but I have found lately my anxiety has gotten worse. I had a job trial end of last year or early this year (I forget when exactly) and it was a service station but they sold no petrol, so it was just all food like burgers, chips, etc. Good truck stop basically. I did a trial for 3hrs. Part way through I had a panic attack and asked to go to doing the dishes because I was freaking out serving customers. I got paid for the trial (yay!) but I was really shaken up by it.
I guess it's affected me since.
To think I was volunteering at a red cross op shop in 2014/15. Though it wasn't fast paced.

*raises hand* I work from home! I work for myself now but I previously worked for a company from home, where I would go into the office or Skype with my boss once a week for (actually pointless) meetings. So it does really exist
to be fair I don't know anyone else who stays home all day except from people who had three kids and decided not to work anymore though Also to be fair, I know like 6 people so it's not a representative population sample XD

Oh nice jacob, what's your job then? (Sorry if I am too nosey with this)
And I also know nobody in person who works from home - ah wait, one!!! He's doing a typical student's job for students who want to become a doctor, he writes documents about the patients for the doctor which he can do from home based on information they send him. But it takes him like 7 hours per week for this only.
Having no license or car makes things difficult, especially if one lives on the countryside.. :( I would invest my money in this or the qualification certificate we were talking about earlier, but I think this is your plan anyway :P
Poshi, yes, this is my postgraduate degree :) It is actually not bound to my bachelor (English and European Ethnology), but rather to any language. The prosuppositions were "only" that one has 40 points in linguistics (you can obtain a great amount of them if you study a language anyway, but you have to specialise a little or you will end up having not enough) & B2 level in English & A1 level in any other foreign language. At least it was easy for me to prove my English knowledge - I needn't write a test to tell on which level my English is as I did my bachelor's degree in that subject :3 Yaay :D
Aw, poor you, having "cold" weather already. It was really hot yesterday and they say today will be the last hot day of the year. I hope they are wrong though as I have to work today and would love to enjoy more hot days by the lake or sth.

I got a haircut.
And yeah I have a semi plan to further myself with some education but I'm waiting for the right moment with Peter. He'd have to pay for it.
I can walk around town and stuff just not like to another town unless I want like to become super tired..

@LittleJulez mostly, I'm a writer. I also do photography occasionally but I'm not actively looking for work in that area these days, I just keep my social media up to date and if someone approaches me then I'll do it.
I also sell embroidered artwork, clothing, and jewellery that I make in my spare time. Oh and I also make a little money through graphic design for social media xD Basically I do whatever I want because there's no one to stop me hahaha. But yeah, mainly the writing XD

@River: Oh well, at least you're planning some things, don't give up *hugs*
My boyfriend was working from home for two weeks (like 2 weeks ago?), and earlier this year he had an offer from an employer to work from home or partially from home, on a normal employment contract. And on eof his friends I think also got a remote job, he works from home, no need for a self-employment as well. So it's possible, but maybe not so popular...
I'm sorry about your anxiety, it sucks x.x Also sorry there's not much you can do about it to heal, since I think you need money for any therapy...
Speaking of therapy: yesterday I had my session, and my therapist asked what's my idea for myself aside from being a wife and a mother. And I'm like "I wanna sit on my butt at home and write books

Or translate, but I need other languages than just English for that to make any sense

But yeah, writing books

" Haha, never gonna happen XD
@jacob: Go shine your awesome freedom somewhere else, you make me jealous

My awesome freedom comes with plenty of anxiety about losing work and such, don't worry xD like last week I got an order which was going to be more than a month's wages and it was something I seriously wanted to do so I got all giddy. Next thing, the client negotiated it down to a smaller project which cut a third off the price because their budget was tight. Next, they tell me to hold off on the project for now and I nearly died because it was extremely time-limited and I needed to get started ASAP otherwise it would mean some all-nighters to get it done. THEN they tell me actually they can't do it the way they wanted so they'll just pay me for my time spent already and leave it at that.
So I got paid a day's wages and all my dreams scattered away in the dust XD I might just do everything we planned and sell it to someone else because I got so caught up in the planning and made some really awesome ideas. But now they're saying they might be interested in having me do the same work next year instead so that they can sort their part out first and I'm like hnnnnnnnn tell me whether I can do this stuff or not XD
