I got out of bed only for cooking today. I actually wanted to go for a run but the weather was against me.

I got out of bed because I'd have slept all day otherwise

I took a nap and also wanted to stay in.... but I couldn't because I had homework due at 11 pm lol It was... 7 pm

What, homework due at 11 PM ? That's weird :D

No, no gym. It's too expensive here and I am leaving in 2 months anyway :)
I am trying to do some exercises at home though. But I did not feel like doing sports yesterday.

my homework is always due at some time b/w 11 and 11:55 p.m

profs: the due date is X
students: ok but can we submit at the EnD oF tHe DaY?
profs: h'm. so 12 in the night?
students: NOOOO THAT'S CONFUSING then we might think the due date is X+1 instead of X!
profs: ok, so 11:55.
students:
YAAAAY

Yeah, that's how it usually is for our assignments as well. Except we have this one lecture this semester where due time is always 6 pm - so we really have to concentrate and make sure not to get confused and submit late -.-

I also had one professor once who was like "let's make the due time 4am, so nobody needs to worry about the exact time except the really crazy people who stay up all night to finish things" - which I thought was a great approach.

Oh that's so different in my uni :D

4 AM is nice, really. Except you might confuse it with one day earlier/later. But this can happen any time sooo.
Our assignments/essays are usually due at 12pm.

Yeah, most of ours are also like 23:59 or something, so effectively midnight minus the confusion.

In that case it wasn't confusing with the 4 am, since it was a weekly assignment that was simply due the night before the lecture, so that's easy to remember and nobody has to look at the date.

Oh so basically yours is due at 12 AM. Not bad.

Wait, isn't midnight 12 pm and noon 12 am? Or am I mixing things up again? I always get confused at the boundaries with this am/pm stuff...

Yeah, there was really no way to be confused in that case :)
